Choosing a College

addca7cf-5871-40ba-9cc3-94187631110dIt’s junior year of high school and for most of your child’s life you’ve talked with them about the importance of going to college and getting a degree. Now that the time has come, how does your child choose?
This process can be so overwhelming but we’ve come across a website that we think might help you and your student narrow things down. Check out the College Scorecard at https://collegescorecard.ed.gov/.

This program allows you to sort schools based on multiple different factors to create a more palatable list for consideration. Once you narrow the search, you can see side by side comparisons of the average annual cost, graduation rates, and salary post graduation. Additionally, you can click in to learn more about each individual school on your search to include items such as financial aid debt and average SAT/ACT scores of students typically admitted.
